Matilda's Tricks

Matilda has always been a super quick learner and always eager to do tricks. We've been a bit slack & haven't had any practice sessions in months yet today when I sat down with her she remembered every trick I'd ever taught her...and even picked up "back" in about 30 seconds.

She'd been doing tricks for 10 minutes when I finally started recording so in the beginning she's even more excited/anxious to do them (if you can believe it LOL). We forgot to practice "wait"...but she's also SUPER with that! :o)

  1. Can you send Matilda down this way to teach my two those tricks....we're really not that far away, lol!

  3. Way to go Matilda!!! That's so great that she enjoys doing tricks. You can absolutely see how enthusiastic she is about it. I am just amazed that she will sit on a hard floor. My two listen very well when I tell them to do tricks on the carpet, but they absolutely refuse to do them on a hard floor! We're working on it though. I'm with Nadine...send Matilda down here and have her teach my munchkins!!!

  5. She's a smart cookie. How did you teach her to speak? Jack is pretty smart but I can't get him to speak without really frustrating him to make it happen to mark it!

  7. The trick is finding a way to get them really excited & start using their "voices" & rewarding them for that & saying "good speak" when treating them. Saying that - I never have been able to get my other 3 to speak. Matilda & our lab mix are the only 2 that speak. :o)
